Severe hypophosphatemia (below 1 mg/liter) can affect every organ in the body leading to HEMOLYSIS; LASSITUDE; SEIZURES; and COMA. Chronic hypophosphatemia can lead to MUSCLE WEAKNESS; and bone diseases, such as RICKETS and OSTEOMALACIA.
